THUR, 28 JULY, 2022-theGBJournal| President Muhammadu Buhari today met with service chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja today, a day after federal legislators threatened him with impeachment over pervading insecurity in the country.

It is not clear the outcome of the meeting as at press time but it is understood that the six weeks ultimatum issued Wednesday by Federal legislators may have prompted the urgent summon and meeting by the President, who many say, have expressed deep dissatisfaction over their performance against bandits and terrorists in the country.

The meeting underscores the grave threat hanging over the country as well as deep seated national security loopholes that have allowed bandits and terrorists to roam and often times over power security agents.

Northerneast Nigeria have borne most of the mayhem unleashed by the terrorists in recent times with over 2 million citizens so far displaced and hundreds of thousands more killed or kidnapped.

Opposition Parties Senators Wednesday threatened to sack the president in the next six-week if he failed to fix the country’s security challenges, an ultimatum that resonated within the country and the Presidency.
